Welcome to the EVO-PATH Lab Blog! 🧬✨
Published:
Hello world! Welcome to the official blog of the Evolutionary Data Science in Pathogen Phylodynamics (EVO-PATH) Lab at Chang Gung University.
Why a Blog?
We believe that science is not just about publishing papers in academic journals; it’s about communication, education, and community. We are launching this blog to:
- Share our research in a way that is accessible and exciting, not just for other scientists, but for students, the public, and anyone interested in virology and AI.
- Give a behind-the-scenes look at what happens in a computational biology lab.
- Provide resources and mini-tutorials on phylodynamics, next-generation sequencing, and deep learning.
What We Do
At EVO-PATH, we decode the evolutionary secrets of pathogens. We use a combination of computational biology, epidemiology, immunology, and data science to understand how viruses like SARS-CoV-2, Enterovirus 71, and Influenza spread and adapt.
We are tracking emerging viruses, hunting for unknown pathogens in peta-scale genomic data, and building the next generation of AI tools to predict viral evolution. It’s an exciting time to be at the intersection of Big Data and Public Health!
Join the Journey
Whether you are a prospective student looking to join our team, a fellow researcher, or just a science enthusiast, we are thrilled to have you follow along.
Expect monthly updates from us! Next month, we’ll be doing a deep dive into one of our recent exciting publications.
If you are a student interested in joining the lab, don’t hesitate to check out our Home page and reach out to Dr. Yu-Nong Gong.
Stay curious! 🔬🚀
